STATUS OF OUR DEFENSE

WHO CONTROLS THE PRESENT?

How can we expect to defend our nation when we filipinos do not even possess and control our resources and direction of our development?

As of 2012 October 20, the Philippine Government as in the past, failed to formulate an effective Anti-Money Laundering Law.  It was due to in 2001, when the chinese compelled the Philippine Government to remove tax evasion as one of the crimes covered by the Anti-Money Laundering Law.  This has blocked our efforts in regulating the manner of paying taxes for effective and equitable financial sustainability.  The Philippine Government adjusted the law according to what the chinese wanted.

WHO CONTROLS THE PAST?

In the 1900s, the Philippine Government passed a law requiring books in business written in chinese to be written in the language Philippine government auditors could understand.  The chinese refused.  The United States Government stopped the Philippine Government from enforcing the law.

Around November of 1924, we developed a setup to check foreigners entering our country as part of our defense system of checking further foreign infiltration.  However, the United States dismantled them.  An editorial appeared on June 5, 1926 in The Tribune.  It made a comment regarding: the chinese making a plaything of our exclusion laws; their out maneouvering us from the start of our border checking operations, making a fool out of us.

Meanwhile, we filipinos dismantled chinese bases of economic controls in many parts of Manila and Luzon.  The Philippine Constabulary, a U.S. established unit to be the auxillary corps of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Philippines, intervened.

We tried strategies based on our present condition to gain control of as much area of our nation as we could against the foreigners. The start of our series of manoeuvres thru legal operations with the Retail Trade Nationalization Law in 1954 however, was out-manoeuvred by the Chinese. After we implemented this law, some 8700 of the 10,000 chinese who rushed to get hold of certificate of filipino citizenship papers after 1946, did so after 1954.  Thus in paper, the number of chinese registered as engaged in the retail trade was reduced and the number of us filipinos engaged in the same business was increased. In reality however, there was no physical difference. The difference was only in paper.

Many of these chinese were able to aquire legal documents of being Filipino Citizens in order to make their control of our resources resulting to displacement of us original filipinos constitutional. They applied what the famous Chinese General Sun Tzu said something like, “Therefore, the skillful leader subdues the enemy's troops without any fighting; he captures their cities without laying siege to them; he overthrows their kingdom without lengthy operations in the field.” They conquered our cities without the use of traditional combat weapons.  Except for President Carlos Garcia, all of our presidents have been more than willing to be their puppet government. They have been protected by the laws of the land. They have been protected by the law enforcers of the land. They displaced us filipinos from our source of livelihood and we have no big brother to protect us.

EFFECT OF THE CAUSE ON THE PRESENT

Today and here, what has been the result when as of 2007, between 80,000 to 100,000 chinese have been moving covertly inside our main homeland?  These do not include those who have already gained access to having legalized their status.  They have been able to continue taking over of our banking system, building construction system, rice distribution system, real estate development, airline industry, retail industry, etc..  They have been rendering us impotent in solving the chronic rice shortage for decades.  Now they have been taking over development of our education thru Asia Pacific College, UE, Centro Escolar University, etc.?  What has been the result?

They have developed a situation where in our military, police, and political officials have been locked in under their social and economic influence to provide them protection and access to having legal status of control of our resources and development.

EFFECT OF THE CAUSE- U.S. TAMPERING WITH OUR DNA

How many decades have we been under what the U.S. term as, tutelage, protection, training, technological support, and guidance of the mighty protective north americans since the 1900s?  In all those years, our defense system could not proceed at any direction of development other than that under U.S. control, tutelage, protection, training, technological support, policies, guidance and dependence on. How many decades have we been at war against brother filipinos in what the the U.S term as insurgency? How many years have been our defense system been functioning as defense against brother filipinos? The situation is equivalent to the autoimmune disease of the immune system of an individual human entity.  In all those years, have we ever been able to develop a defense system capable of defense against foreign invaders?

In all those years that other nations like France, Germany, Israel, Japan, and Vietnam, developed their nation, how has their status of economy and defense become?  Did they let their economy and defense be controlled by and dependent on the U.S. or other foreigners?

If we let the U.S. continue their tutelage, protection, training, technological support, guidance, and control of our nation as what they have always been doing, how many more years will it take before we will this time be able to end being at war with brother filipinos? How many more years will it take before we will finally be able to have the economic and defense status of nations mentioned who have never been controlled by nor dependent on the U.S.?

UNIVERSAL PATTERN

An HIVirus infiltrates the human body thru an immune cell of that human body.  Attached inside the immune cell, the virus utilize the DNA of the host immune cell to establish its identity as that of the host immune cell, and takes over control of that cell.  Other uninfected immune cells are not able to detect the HIVirus because it has the identity and DNA of the infected host immune cell.  When it has completely taken over the host immune cell, that immune cell dies.  The HIVirus replicates the process to the next human immune cell.  After 15 years of replication of the process, what will be the status of all the immune cells?  Can the immune system still defend the body against other invading pathogens that result to TB, tumors, meningitis, and other apparently non HIVirus initiated?

In the national body, it is no different.  When a foreign body takes over control of our Determinants of National Attributes, can our defense system still defend our nation against other invading nations?

OUR ORGANIC DNA

When we became separated from Madre España in 1898, we were born as a nation.  We inherited the organic Determinants of National Attributes from the founding fathers of our nation. This unwritten code was the factor inherent in us, in: producing a national character and identity that binds us, as a nation; driving the direction of our development; and providing cohesion and continuity of development thru generations.

Carrying that unwritten code within us, as a nation, we developed a system of politics, defense, judiciary, economy, and education.  Being an infant nation, we struggled to be united, to adapt to the situation, and to control our resources and direction of our development.

"The Friars in the Philippines" by Coleman, and "GDP per capita in 1900 by country. Definition, graph, and map" by NationMaster.com 2010 reported that during our birth as a nation in 1898:

We were among the most educated in all of Asia.  Our economy and standard of living were ahead of most of our Asian neighbors and even many European countries at that time.  In 1900, the estimated GDP per capita for the Philippines was $1033.oo.  We were the second richest nation in Asia, just a little behind Japan, having $1135.oo.  We were far ahead of China, having $652.oo or India having $625.oo.

Corpus in his “Roots of the Filipino Nation” and Jose in his “Rise and Fall of Antonio Luna”, reported how our nationalism and unity at their peak in the 1900s were unprecedented and never anymore been surpassed.

THE ORGANIC DNA OF OUR NATIONAL DEFENSE SYSTEM

At the birth of our nation, we had an infant but vibrant national defense system.  It was clear who our defense system belongs to, for it was clear who we were, not as individuals, not as tribes, nor petty kingdoms, but as a nation.

Our newly developed but infant defense system underwent the ultimate test of its class and potency when a foreign entity, the north americans of the United States, violated our newly born nation in 1898 by their invasion.  Without any aid from any nation, our defense forces engaged the aggressor forces of the emerging most powerful nation in the world in 1899.   It was our first encounter with a foreign aggressor force as a filipino nation.  We lost in many battles but we also defeated them in battles like Balangiga, Mabitac, Pulang Lupa, and other documented battles.  So potent were our defenses that, the aggressor forces were not able to break our resistance for years.

Ellis G. Davis, Company A, 20th Kansas of the U.S. occupational forces in the Philippines, wrote about us in the 1900s: "They will never surrender until their whole race is exterminated. They are fighting for a good cause, and the Americans should be the last of all nations to transgress upon such rights. Their independence is dearer to them than life,…".

The aggressor forces of the emerging most powerful nation in the world had to resort to what terrorists engaging a stronger force today do- kidnapping of civilians among us.  But at that time, it was on a massive scale which included extermination of the civilians among us.  According to just the documented reports, among the places where these form of terrorism took place were in Marinduque, Rizal, Bulacan, Batangas, Laguna, Albay, and Samar.  Their demand: surrender of those of the defense forces among us.  It was because of such terroristic acts that the defense forces among us were compelled to give in to their demand.  It was because of such terroristic acts that 800,000 to 1,000,000 of us filipinos died.

To be able to function effectively in defending our nation against foreign aggressor forces, we must first, have a functional defense system.  For our nation to have a functional defense system, we must first of all have possession and control of our resources and direction of development which includes that of defense.  To take possession and control, we must first take possession and control of not cash, not oil, nor any materials which strong nations of today did not have when they started to be a nation.  We must recover our Determinants of National Attributes.  It must be our inherited DNA, and not tampered by the U.S. during their occupation in the 1900s.  It is our DNA of 1898, that we have lost today that we need to recover.  Only then can we even start to build a defense system that can equal the status that we had in the 1900s.

WHICH INVASION DO WE PREFER, AMERICAN OR CHINESE?

Can our body prefer one virus over another? That is also prefering one foreign invader over another. Does it indeed make sense to prefer one foreign invader over another foreign invader? This virus started invading us after we were born as a nation in 1898, which we filipinos fiercely resisted in 1899. Unable to suppress our resistance, they engage in putrid actions such as hostage taking, mass torture, rape of our women, and extermination of civilians among us. This caused the weakening of our physical resistance. This caused the death of 500,000 to 900,000 of us filipinos.

After they transmitted a massive dose of alienating identity and defilipinization process in our systems of: defense; political; education; economy; and culture, their invasion became less physical, but more subtle and deep that it tranformed our very national developmental code into one of worshipping dependents of our foreign invaders. With this status, the north americans made a show before the world that they have granted us independence in July 1946. This made it possible for them to continue whatever form of invasion they prefered. This made it possible for them to continue today their physical invasion again but this time more subtle in what was reported in http://jmgpatria.blogspot.com/2009/06/american-invasion-continues_7055.html

Yes, this invasion started in the 1900s is now, both physical and moral. This invasion also corrupted our moral values.

Chile which was a colony of Spain, is now picking up economically. We filipinos have been continuosly occupied by the north americans since the 1900s up to today. Today, we are physically and morally bunkrupt.

Let us look at ourselves first and start to stand on our own feet. Let us strengthen our defense system but first base it on a national identity on which it will be the basis on who to protect. Let us start to be independent because we can actually do it if only we decide. Only then can we have a celebration not just the birth of our nation, but also the independence which is the liberation of our nation.

DAY OF OUR INDEPENDENCE, OR DAY OF OUR BIRTH?

NORTH AMERICAN LEGACY: THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

The cost of speaking the English language to us filipinos is summarized in the report, http://jmgpatria.blogspot.com/2010/04/cost-of-speaking-english-to-us.html

INDEPENDENCE: FROM WHOM?

We were born as a nation after we became independent from Spain in 1898. This has made our status, a sovereign nation. Today, we are indeed a sovereign nation. But can we say that we have remained independent when after we became independent, the north americans invaded us which we fiercely resisted in 1899? Can we say that we are today independent when the north americans transmitted into our system of: defense; education; politics; economy; and culture, a massive dose of synthesized alienating identity and defilipinization process which replaced our organic national developmental code? This cost is even rising today as summarized in this report, http://jmgpatria.blogspot.com/2009/06/american-invasion-continues_7055.html

Can we say that we are today independent when in the 1900s, the chinese with the protection of their government infiltrated our country, displaced many of our brother filipino businessmen, and controlled our economy which we tried to resist but the north americans provided them protection? Can we say that we are today independent when as a result of this protection provided by the north americans, the chinese have indeed taken over control of our economy today? This is also summarized in http://jmgpatria.blogspot.com/2009/06/chinese-invasion-continues.html

HEREDITY INJURING VIRUS

After the north americans invaded us which we resisted fiercely in 1899, they tried to impose their language to cut us off from our bonds to our filipino nation. The use of English had to be legislated: Act No. 190 of the Philippine Commission made English the official language of all courts effective January 1, 1906 but Act No. 1427 amended the date to January 1, 1911 and Act No. 1946 again extended the effective date to January 1, 1913.

Even more than a decade after the north americans invaded us, Spanish language in the Philippines was still widely spoken. In 1916, Henry Ford to wrote to President Woodrow Wilson :

” Although, as based on the school statistics, it is said that more Filipinos speak English than any other language, no one can be in agreement with this declaration if they base their assessment on what they hear on the testimony of their hearing……Spanish is everywhere the language of business and social intercourse…In order for anyone to obtain prompt service from anyone, Spanish turns out to be more useful than English…And outside of Manila it is almost indispensable. The Americans who travel around all the islands customarily use it.” (The Ford Report of 1916. Chapter 3. The Use of English, pp. 365-366.)

This means that Spanish was one of the languages used by us aside from Ilocano, Tagalog, Pangalatoc, Ilongo, Cebuano, Chavacano, Tausog, and many others. It was the americans who tried to injure the spanish language in the Philippines, not us, filipinos.

Claro M. Recto, the respected filipino nationalist in the mid 1900s spoke in Spanish.

BASIS OF THE BIRTH OF OUR NATION

Without Spain having colonized the different tribes, petty kingdoms and alliance of tribes in the different islands, and established the boundaries of what is now approximately known as the Philippine Archipelago or Islands, can we say that we will have a nation of people in islands known as the Philippines today? What is our basis for our claim to our Philippine Archipelagic Baseline we present before the community of nations? Many of the Spanish government officials and many more of the spanish friars in the Philippines committed injustices and cruelties. That was up to 1898. The present spaniards are different. They have been regarding us with respect and as equals. They have been trying to promote their culture and economic cooperation in the Philippines for many years now. They have been one of the biggest donors although silent and in proportion to their economic circumstances, during disasters in our country. Spanish regard for us filipinos is cited in this report, http://jmgpatria.blogspot.com/2010/04/barcelona-cidob-paper.html

If we had an unjust and cruel mother of our infancy from whom we have separated, and after decades decided to be reconciled with us and have been trying to makeup for all those years now that we are older, is it not proper as human beings to open our arms to her?

Let Us Not Abandon

OUR CENTURIES OLD TRADITION- An Open Letter To The Chief of Staff, AFP*

The underlying cause of our problem now has been not just corruption in the government, but the corruption of our development.

Some of the most developed and respected nations in the world today like France, Finland, Israel, Japan, Vietnam, and South Korea, have a strong nationalistic character. They developed their own national language ignoring the English Language for their daily transactions, technical communications, academic activities and interaction with foreigners. France has protected its farmers and local industries and expelled the U.S. Bases. Japan has a nationalistic economy. Israel did not hesitate to bomb U.S. facilities for the sake of it’s security. Vietnam resisted triumphantly the invasion of the most powerful military in the world- U.S. Armed Forces.

We were about to develop fully when we were born as a nation in 1898 after we became independent of Spain and became the Republic of the Philippines. On June 12, 1898, we officially hoisted for the first time the Philippine National Flag as the Marcha Nacional Filipina was being played in public. With budget allocation, we produced our own government, our own defense system, our agricultural system, our educational system and our own constitution.

Sometime later, the north americans invaded us. Unable to break our potent defenses, the foreign aggressors resorted massive kidnappings and extermination of the civilians among us.  Thereafter, 700,000 to 1,000,000 of us filipinos died.  Because of these, soldiers among us were compelled to give in to the demands of the foreign kidnappers for us to surrender.  Having a weakened physical resistance this time, our invaders took over our systems.  They replaced our organic national developmental code in all our systems with a developmental code- Heredity Injuring Virus, they synthesized to function by cutting us off from all our inherited developmental characteristics and national identity in the course of our conception and finally birth as a nation.  The chinese whose invasion was complementing thus protected by the U.S. occupational government and facilitated by the Chinese Government from their homeland have blocked our resistance against them.  Thus they were able to penetrate deeper into our economic system and later in our many more different systems. Thus our invaders corrupted our system and replicated it from generation to generation. There was no symptom of this invasion for years.

Then slowly after several years, the damage is manifesting. Opportunistic infection set in. Our presidents who have been under the control and influence of these invaders provided them with favors from the exploitation of our natural resources, cornering of our industries, and control of our defense policies. Little by little, filipino farmers, filipino businessmen, nationalistic filipino soldiers among us are being displaced from our trade and source of livelihood.  Little by little thousands of us filipinos are dying from landslides caused by logging by big time chinese loggers and logging financiers. Farm production is being displaced by food importation manipulated by the rice cartel. Many of them have acquired documents for their becoming legally Filipino citizens. They have legitimized their control of and displacement of us filipinos from access to our resources.

There have been those among us like Gen. Danilo Lim, Atty Tiu, Alejandro Lichauco, Prof. Emanuel Q. Yap and others of chinese blood who have provided so much of their life in the service of our Filipino Nation. They have made themselves one of us and therefor more Filipino than GMA, Martir or Esperon.

There were reports that the north americans were the ones who developed the kidnap for ransom gang Abu Sayyaf as a counter force against the Soviets in Afghanistan. Little by little, filipino soldiers and pilots and crew among us, die from north american handed down aircraft crushes due to our deteriorating defense system logistics because of the american instituted dependency character. The americans have again established a military camp inside our own camp in Zamboanga. Filipino soldiers among us are off-limits there. American soldier convicted of having raped our filipina was bolted out of jail by his fellow north americans with the help of the officials of the GMA puppet government.

Where is our self-respect?

Unlike the most developed and respected nations mentioned earlier, we have lost our independence and consequently our nationalistic character further losing our independence. What is our problem then? Our resistance to the north american and chinese invasion has been compromised.  Soldiers among us have been castrated to master combat never beyond defense against brother filipinos or counterinsurgency.  After we gave in to the demands of the foreign kidnappers for us to surrender to them which enabled them to take over our defense system, we have never anymore been able to recover our capability to defend ourselves against foreign invaders.  We have to remain incapable of defending ourselves, otherwise, we would already be independent of the north americans.  We the filipino people have been disintegrated into individuals
concerned only with our individual selves and families.  Our interests have become in conflict with the interest of our nation. We have a pool of collaborator leaders who are continuing the facilitation by our past Philippine presidents, of the continuation of this invasion.  Symptoms of an Alienized Individualized and Defilipinized Syndrome has already been manifesting.

Filipino Soldiers among us still have an unfinished mission!  Let not the our Armed Forces be the auxilliary corps of the foreign enemy by protecting a collaborator.  Let us not be an autodefense soldier killing our brother filipinos, the journalists, the so called insurgents (labeled by the north americans who defended our nation against their invasion), student activists, women, and brother filipino soldiers resisting the collaborators. Let us be normal self-respecting soldiers like that of France, Germany, Israel or Vietnam. In his speech, a former AFP Chief of Staff once reminded filipino soldiers among us not to “…abandon the centuries old tradition of the Filipino Soldier. ” What has been the traditional role of soldiers among us from the time of our forefather warriors a century ago like Generals Ricarte, Antonio Luna, Malvar, Tinio, Lukban, and Major Torres Bugallón? They resisted our north american invaders. Gen Ricarte made a policy to expel the chinese from control of filipino business.

Indeed, filipino soldiers among us, must not abandon our tradition. Let us defend our nation against the more subtle modern enemy invader, but still a foreign invader. Let us accomplish our mission! Let us defend this nation of our brother filipinos against foreign invaders and their collaborators!

* Written as a response to the speech of General Yano on the ARMED FORCES of the PHILIPPINES Foundation Day on Dec. 22, 2008. His mention of such words as, "Centuries Old Tradition" referring to the Filipino soldiers all throughout the centuries was heart warming. It brought hope for us Filipinos that the Filipino soldiers among us would finally be oriented to the real purpose of existense.
